Annapurna Base Camp Trek ( 12 days / 11 nights )

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

1,300m/4,264 ft

Welcome to Nepal, the Land of the Himalayas! Once you arrive at the airport you will be guided to the Api-Saipal homestay by a representative. Rest of the day or evening depending upon your flight, you will have time to prepare yourself for the trek. You will meet with your guide and receive briefing about the trek.
You can either have meals at our homestay where we provide Nepali food or choose to go to a restaurant nearby.

Day 2 : Drive to Pokhara by Bus

( 7 hrs / 200 kms )
We have an early start to catch the bus to Pokhara . During the drive u will experience the beauty of the hills, rivers, monuments along with the beautiful countryside weather. You will reach Pokhara around 3 o’clock. You will be transferred to a hotel in Lakeside. You will have a leisure evening. Lakeside offers a wide range of cuisine for the food lover’s, or you can just stroll around the Fewa Lake. Be stunned by natural beauty of Pokhara! There are lot of pub’s and bar’s with live music to keep you entertained. We will stay at hotel Plaza Annapurna.

Day 3 : Drive to Khimchey and trek to Ghandruk

( 1940 m )
The Annapurna Basecamp Trek begins! We start our trek by driving with a private jeep to Khimchey. It takes about 3 hours. From Khimchey, we will start our trekking and head to Ghandruk. It's a 2 hours trek. It is nice and easy walk passing through beautiful villages by the side of green hills, forest and the mountains. Overnight at mountain lodge in Ghandruk.

Day 4 : Ghandruk to Tadapani

( 4 hrs / 2010 m)
After a breakfast we will start our trekking with a gradual climb to Tadapani. Once we reach Tadapani you will have an awesome view of Machhapuchhre himal ( Fishtail ) and Annapurna ranges. Overnight at mountain lodge in Tadapani.

Day 5 : Tadapani to Chhomrong

( 6 hrs / 2170 m )
We will continue our trek from Tadapani towards Chhomrong. We will see small villages, crossing a suspension bridge and walk through the forest by the side of majestic mountains. River flows in its own pace creating beautiful falls along the trial.  We will reach Chhomrong after 6 hours of trekking. Chhomrong is large gurung village at the corridor of Annapurna sanctuary. The village offers upclose view of south Annapurna and fishtail mountain.

Day 6: Chhomrong to Dovan

( 5 hrs / 2870 m )
After breakfast at Chhomrong we will continue our trek down to chhomrong river.  Then we will climb up to Sinuwa and down to Modi river at the little hemlet of bamboo in 2 hours. Eventually we will gradually climb another hour to Dovan. Overnight at tea house in Dovan.

Day 7 : Dovan to Machhapuchre base camp

( 6 hrs / 3700 m)
From Dovan we will enter into this region where the effects of high altitude are felt. So with slow pace we gradually climb to Himalaya in 2 hours, where we will stop for a lunch. After Himalaya (3270 m) we enter sparsely vegetated rocky terrain. We will soon reach Machhapuchre basecamp and give our tired body a bit of rest. Overnight at tea house in Machhapuchhre base camp.

Day 8 : Machhapuchre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp

( 3 hrs / 4010 m )
After breakfast we will trek to Annapurna base camp, where we will have our lunch and go for an optional hike to the glacier at higher elevation, people who don’t want to go to higher elevation can enjoy the beauty of Annapurna base camp.

Day 09 : Annapurna basecamp to Bamboo ( 7 hrs / 2335 m)

Day 10 : Bamboo to chhomrong ( 7hrs / 2170 )

Day 11 : Chhomrong to Siwai and drive to Pokhara.

Day 12 : Pokhara to Kathmandu by bus.
